Tongue in Cheek icon set
Courtenay : March 29th, 2007
Version 1.0
This free icon set is designed for the unfinished application.
Background
Unfortunately, using a professional icon set can cause trouble, because the client may think that because the icons are slick, the app is nearly done. In the client world, interface completeness is the same as application completeness.
Tongue-in-cheek should dispel any concerns about how far along your app is completing.
Usage
The files are 32x32 pixel PNGs. Do what you like with them, they took me all of two minutes to draw. If you’d like more icons in the same style, email me at court3nay+icon@gmail.com

That’s really, really funny. :-) I like them! Something along these lines would be very cool to use “for real” on the right site even.

HA! Those are just perfect. This fits in perfectly with Kathy Sierra’s post on making a mockup: http://headrush.typepad.com/creatingpassionateusers/2006/12/dontmakethe_d.html

That’s awesome, and I can related to the premise “manageing client expectations of completedness”.
